Translated personal identity documents for application of permanent residence in Singapore must be certified by translator and notarised by lawyer.

ICA will NOT accept PR applications with incomplete or insufficient documents for processing. Applicants will be required to make a fresh appointment to resubmit their PR applications.

For documents not in English, they must be translated. ICA accepts: –

• Translated copy provided by the Embassy of the document-issuing country or a Notary Public Singapore; or
• Privately translated copy attested by the Embassy of the document-issuing country or notarized by a local Notary Public translation services.

ICA Translation Service – Translating for Legal Equivalence

First, ensure documentation not in English language to be translated by certified translator and notarized by lawyer. This also includes any documents with your education records. Papers that prove that you’ve completed high school or university level education must be shown as the original copy. Do contact your university administration if you have misplaced them over the years. It’s best to work with an ICA Translation Service professional who can render services in translating for legal equivalence and is fluent in English when you are working on translating all of these papers.

Keep all of the original copies in an organized file folder when meeting with your document translation services professional. One reason that the application fails is because they have lost an item or two in their application submission. The documents that are officially translated must be done entirely and completely. Everything including, dashes, commas, and even signatures must be included.

DOCUMENT LIST FOR PR APPLICATION (PROFESSIONALS, TECHNICAL PERSONNEL AND SKILLED WORKERS)

IMPORTANT! Please ensure that all the required documents are submitted within 7 days/ 168 hours from the time you start the online application. Incomplete submission will result in non-acceptance of the application during e-PR submission. Official translations are required if documents are not in English.

1. Valid travel document and passport pages showing personal particulars and official descriptions;
2. Employment Pass or S Pass;
3. Identity card (if applicable);
4. Birth certificate or official household census list or family register showing both parents’ name;
5. Deed poll or change of name certificate (if applicable);
6. Highest educational certificates (including all tertiary qualifications), transcripts, professional license/membership certificates and vocational trade certificates;
7. Testimonials from previous employer(s) stating the nature and duration of employment and the last drawn basic salary (if any);
8. Payslips for the last 6 months;
9. Current Employer’s letter stating the date of employment, position held, salary per month for the past 6 months with breakdown into basic, overtime and allowance per month. The letter, addressed to the Controller of Immigration, should be dated within 1 month from the date of submission;
10. IRAS consent form to give consent for ICA to obtain and verify financial information provided in respect of this application with the Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore directly;
11. (For self-employed) Valid Business Registration Certificate with names of partners shown;
12. (For self-employed) Occupational license pertaining to your employment (e.g. Stall license, business license, property agent license).

The following additional documents are required if you are married:

1. Official marriage certificate;
2. Death certificate or divorce certificate in respect of your previous marriages (if any);
3. Custody papers for the child(ren) in respect of your previous marriage(s) (if any);
4. Spouse’s highest educational certificates (including all tertiary qualifications), transcripts, professional license/membership certificates and vocational trade certificates;

If you are including your spouse in the application, please include the following:

1. Spouse’s valid travel document with valid Immigration Pass and passport pages showing personal particulars and official descriptions are required;
2. Spouse’s birth certificate showing both parents’ name;
3. Spouse’s deed poll or change of name certificate (if applicable);
4. Spouse’s identity card (if applicable); and
5. Death certificate or divorce certificate and the custody papers for the child(ren) in respect of your spouse’s previous marriage(s) (if any).

The following additional documents are required If you are including your child(ren) in the application:

1. Child’s valid travel document with valid Immigration Pass and passport pages showing personal particulars and official descriptions;
2. Child’s birth certificate showing both the child’s and the parents’ names;
3. Child’s adoption papers (if applicable); and
4. Child’s deed poll or change of name certificate (if applicable).
